Lime and Coconut Cookies
Well folks, they're not particularly green, but certainly can come under Easter Treats...so I let it slide!
We had a lot of last minute entries once Forum Thermomix jumped on board...so thanks guys! There seemed to be a lot of cookie/slice recipes, so after narrowing the field, here they are;
Lime and Coconut Cookies, from Natalee Mahoney, (which at a stretch could classify as pale green!)
and Decadent Chocolate Biscuits from Jean Misko.
Remember; Cook, Eat and Vote!

Zest and juice 2 limes
120g cold butter
170g brown sugar

Place heaped teaspoons of mix onto lined baking trays and cook for 12-15 minutes until golden around edges.
Remove from oven and cool completely.
To prepare chocolate, place into clean dry TM bowl and mill for 5 seconds on speed 8. Scrape down and melt for 2½ minutes at 50ºC on speed 1. Scrape into Ziploc plastic bag, snip corner off to drizzle over lined up cookies.

SO...as this is late, the next posting will seem early, so don't take too long...make this weekend a Cookie-a-thon and let me know your vote soon! And just to be going on with, for April, I think we will go your VERY BEST 'meat in the Thermomix' recipes! We are trying to collate our meat book now...which to date remains nameless, so any good ideas on that score would be appreciated as well!
Don't be strangers now!

How appropriate - a cookie recipe for the monthly challenge. I'm off to cook.
OMG i've just made a gluten free version of the lime & coconut ones *drool* they are still baking though...
OK, i've made gluten free versions of both now - YUM! i loved both and will definitely make them both again.
i think i'm going to give the edge to natalee's lime & coconut biccies though for being a bit different and i LOVE citrus yummies!
Thanx again for organising and trying the recipes. We don't make many biscuits, but did these for friends to be able to vote and like them both.
The chocolate ones get the vote from the crowd.
I vote for the Decadent Chocolate cookies. I loved the way the Orange Intense chocolate seemed to give them a special lift.
I love both of these recipes and the lime with coconut is great, but the chocolate cookies are decadent and are perfect for after-dinner with coffee.
YUMMO - chocolate cookies are best
I saw that the cookie showdown was on and decided to join in.
I like the idea of topping the lime bikkies, but LOVE the chocolate ones and they get my vote this month.
Can't wait for the meat recipes next month. Thank you.

Love the chocolate ones, can't stop eating them! Choccolate gets my vote.
Wow - certainly more cookie eaters than BBQ sauce fiends.
Made the cookies and although I am not a chocolate person, I vote for them too.
The coconut ones are fantastic but the people I gave them to chose the chockies.
They have put in an order for more !! I said that I am capable of cooking other things - including my own creations !! :(
Congratulations cookie - and a BIG birthday tomorrow. live it up.
I read that 60 is the new 40.

These look lovely! I am in the middle of making the chocolate cookies but found I'm not told when to add the chocolate and the sultanas..... I'll work it out but thought I'd let you know if you wanted to add to the recipe.
